The “Yaman” Translator: Meet Karine Grigoryan, our long-time colleague who paved the way for new Armenian lexicon to include technical agricultural terms which have since defined an entire sector. Many technical agricultural terms you study and hear were written by Karine and her fellow “Yaman” Translators, working with USDA in the early years.

Narine Sargsyan, USAID/Armenia’s Acquisition Specialist has been with the agency since 1994. She has been part of thirty years of development programming, finding ways to fund projects that work to strengthen Armenia’s democracy, economy, health and social sectors and more.

Armen Yeghiazarian has worked with USAID for 29 years, supporting the Mission in executing grants and contracts- the mechanisms that operationalize U.S. assistance in Armenia. Without Armen and his team, USAID would not have been able to work with as many partners and in as many sectors as we have over the years. Thank you, Armen, for your dedication and expertise!

DAVIT POGOSYAN- 1993-2022
For 29 years, Davit Pogosyan has worked with USAID/Armenia, from the cold, dark days in the early 1990s, to today, Davit has helped lead USAID’s operations: ensuring all our staff are able to work in comfortable, safe conditions, that processes and protocols are in place and operationalized, and that all the behind-the-scenes work remains steadfastly reliable.
Thank you Davit, for your commitment and contributions to USAID’s work in Armenia! We’re grateful to have been a part of your life!
