USAID/BHA requires the services of a Senior Humanitarian Advisor (SHA) based in Dhaka or Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, to ensure that Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA)’s objectives for disaster assistance, risk reduction, strategic reporting, interagency coordination, and situational analysis are met for the Rohingya refugee response in Bangladesh and surrounding countries in the region.
The contractor shall function as the Mission’s Administrative Coordinator and Policy Analyst. The Administrative Coordinator and Policy Analyst supports USAID/Bangladesh Executive Office (EXO) which provides a full range of administrative management services in support of USAID activities in Bangladesh, and other offices as needed. This position is in the Executive Office. USAID/Bangladesh staff include 42 USDHs, 11 USPSCs, and 132 CCNPSCs who collectively manage an annual program budget of $800 million.
The primary purpose of the Strategic Communications Advisor in USAID/Bangladesh’s OPHN is to ensure the provision of high quality internal and external communications in support of the OPHN programs and priorities. OPHN is USAID/Bangladesh’s largest technical office and generates a large volume of data from its projects, including research.
The Knowledge Management and Communications Advisor will serve as the chief point of contact for the Mission in producing and distributing information and communications products aimed at various target audiences. S/he fulfills three main responsibilities:
