The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded grants totaling USD $600,000 to nine private sector health organizations to support administration of COVID-19 vaccines across the island. The grants are designed to support the Ministry of Health & Wellness’ Outsourcing of Vaccination Administration Plan.

The youth from the volatile community of Jones Town and surrounding communities are set to benefit from a series of development and life skills training to help increase economic opportunities and reduce youth involvement in crime and violence. The training is being offered under the Hands and Hearts United project by the Jones Town/Craig Town Benevolent Society (JTCTBS) through funding by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Through the USAID-funded Local Partner Development Activity, the objective of PYTP is to provide holistic and meaningful activities for young people in Jamaica in order to steer them away from a life of crime and violence.
