Have you participated in a USAID activity in Morocco? Did you take any photos of your experience? Help us tell a visual story of how USAID and our partners are working together to improve the lives of all Moroccans.

USAID Morocco is pleased to announce a photo contest for program participants. USAID will select the winning photo(s) in June to be featured on our social media accounts and USAID/Morocco website. See below for specific photo specifications, caption requirements, and disclaimers.
We are looking for photos that depict your experience in a USAID program.These can be photos you took during your participation in an activity or photos that show how your life has been impacted.We particularly encourage photo submissions related to climate change, inclusion (including women, youth, and persons with disabilities), education, economic growth, and participatory governance in action.


Please send up to five photos and accompanying captions to Maggie Sullivan at by 5:00 pm on June 24, 2022. We will accept:

  • High-resolution, high-quality digital photos. Please send the highest resolution photo possible (at least 1MB) in JPG format. If you are using Photoshop, please send only level 7 or higher compressed photos.
  • Each photo caption must include:
    • The name of the photographer and organizational affiliation (if applicable);
    • A robust caption, which includes a description of who is in the photo, what they are doing, and how it relates to one of USAID’s programs;
    • The location (city and country) in which it was taken; and
    • The month, day, and year during which it was taken (approximation is okay).
  • Please send the photo file(s) in JPG format and attach a separate document with captions.


USAID is committed to a Do No Harm approach. By submitting a photograph to this competition you:

  • Declare that this is your original work (i.e. you took the photo).
  • Declare that you have permission to use the visual image of any and all identifiable individuals in the photograph for entry into the competition and that the image may be published as stipulated in the photo contest rules. For photos of children, this means you have obtained permission from their parents or guardians.
  • Grant reproduction rights for USAID use and in doing so, agree that USAID can use your photograph for the purposes of the competition, and also for future reproduction on websites, literature, and any other materials at USAID’s discretion (photographs will be credited where appropriate).
