On September 20, Administrator Samantha Power will host USAID’s flagship “Democracy Delivers” event on the sidelines of the 77th annual United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) High Level Week in New York City. This event will bring together leaders from countries experiencing democratic openings with leaders from the private sector and foundations to discuss efforts to support burgeoning democracies and help them deliver tangible benefits to citizens. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will provide opening remarks.

WHEN: Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. EDT

Pre-set for cameras: 12:15 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. EDT

WHERE: The EASE 605 event facility, located at 605 Third Avenue New York, NY 10158.

The event will take place on the 7th floor. To enter, proceed through the main lobby of 605 Third Avenue. All event guests will be asked to show a government-issued photo ID and proceed through the express check-in desk on the right side of the lobby.

Venue staff will be on site to direct you to the elevator to the 7th floor. Once on the 7th floor, staff will direct you to registration tables outside the OASIS meeting room. Please proceed to Media Check-In.

RSVP: Credentialed members of the press may attend in person or virtually. To attend in person, please RSVP to press@usaid.gov. Because of security requirements and limited space, only media that has RSVP’d and received confirmation will be able to enter.
